What is this drama about?
Baek Gang Hyeok is a brilliant trauma surgeon with an exceptionally difficult personality. For 6 years, he treated people in the furthest corners of the world, which were affected by warfare. On the recommendation of the Minister of Health, he starts working at a university hospital as the head of the trauma team, which also includes: a young proctologist, a smart nurse and a resident anesthesiologist. From the beginning, the director and secretary of the hospital have a bad attitude towards the new doctor, but he doesn’t care about anything, because the most important thing for him is the lives of his patients.

I don’t like medical dramas and now I know why. The sight of internal organs simply weakens me. Hearts, livers, kidneys, kilometers of intestines… it was all there. The very realistic scenes from the operating room are my least favorite scenes in this drama, but I have to admit that the creators of the drama presented it well.

Despite these images, I had an exceptionally good time watching this drama. This is due to the fast-paced action, good sense of humor and well-matched cast. My favorite characters are definitely the anesthesiologist and the nurse. He is the most easy-going doctor in the entire hospital and she is the most organized nurse and positively crazy. I could see a subtle romance between them, because they are such complementary opposites. The character of the head doctor Baek Kang Hyeok was not as arrogant as I expected from the previews. The guy knew what he was doing and did everything for the good of the patient. His fight with the hospital bureaucracy is very similar to what I saw in D-Day (one of the few medical dramas that I really like). For the management, money is the most important thing, and patients are in the hospital probably only by chance. I was pleasantly surprised by Choo Young Woo. I didn’t like him in other dramas, but here I really liked his character and the duet he created with Ju Ji Hoon.

8 episodes were enough, so I’m not even expecting a second season.
As in every medical drama, we can expect unreliable situations here, but without it there would be no tension and emotions. It was short, intense, humorous and to the point.
Who is this drama for?
This is a good drama not only for fans of medical dramas. Anyone who likes stories with fast-paced action and a pinch of humor will be satisfied.
