“Love Scout” – vanilla love in the office

What is this drama about?

Kang Ji Yun runs an ambitious recruitment company. She believes she can find the best talent for the best employers. She puts a lot of energy into her work and is good at what she does. Unfortunately, in the office she is completely chaotic, forgetful and constantly looking for something. Her desperate co-worker/friend hires the perfect assistant to help her. Yoo Eun Ho is a divorced single father who was unfairly fired from his previous job. He and his new boss had met before and it wasn’t a good start to their relationship.

This drama can be easily compared to a warm vanilla pudding. Its taste is not very distinctive, it cannot surprise us with anything, but it gives peace and a sense of comfort, maybe even safety, because we know what to expect. And that is what this drama is like. Calm, without madness, without surprises, without plot twists, and every problem is solved immediately.

The main couple slowly gets to know each other. He is a walking goodness, an ideal father and a supportive partner at work and in life. She is ambitious, caring for employees and clients, a model business woman. In addition, they threw in sweet children and a nice second couple, whom I rooted for a lot.

Watching this drama was very pleasant, especially after the emotional rollercoaster that the drama When The Phone Rings gave me. The only negative character in this whole story got what she deserved and the entire last episode was a rainbow and unicorns on sugar dopes. 12 episodes were completely enough.

Such dramas may seem boring, but they are very necessary, like a warm blanket on a winter evening. A big plus was the interesting recruitment processes that the main character’s company dealt with.

The actors did very well, especially the kids were sweet. The chemistry between the main characters was sufficient, but without fireworks.

Who is this drama for?

For people who want to take a break from love triangles, from eternal dramas, from ongoing misunderstandings and toxic ML.
