What connects a kimono and pumpkins?

What connects a kimono and pumpkins?
Seemingly nothing, yet somehow 🙂

I love autumn! If any season could last all year, early autumn would be perfect. At this time of year, I’m always on the lookout for vibrantly orange pumpkins, which I adore. I use them to decorate my house and bake pumpkin treats. I can’t get enough of autumn pumpkins, so last year I made my own.

What’s so special about it? Its surface is decorated with patterns made with handmade stamps inspired by the patterns on Japanese kimonos. This pumpkin was a test run, and in my opinion, it turned out beautifully.

I once read that orange is the most boring color in the entire color palette. In my opinion, that’s absurd! My garden looks most beautiful in autumn, full of yellow, orange, and purple flowers, and that’s why I like to take photos of my pottery there.
