What is this drama about?
Qing Ye comes from a very wealthy family. Unfortunately, her father has encountered some serious problems, and for this reason, he decides to send his daughter to a small seaside town where an old friend of Qing Ye’s mother lives. Qing Ye is not thrilled with the conditions in her new home, especially having to share a room with Xing Wu, the son of her new guardian, who at first glance promises nothing but trouble.
Despite initial difficulties, the girl quickly adapts to her new situation, makes friends, and above all, enjoys the warmth of her new family. She becomes very close to Xing Wu, who proves to be an exceptionally kind and capable young man. The boy dropped out of school to work and support his family during a difficult situation. Qing Ye decides to persuade him to return to school so he can fight for his future.
I didn’t have high expectations for this drama, but I was pleasantly surprised. I started watching it mainly because of Li Yunrui, as I’ve been following him closely since “Blossom,” but I also really liked Guan Xiaotong.
I like stories set outside of big cities; they have a unique atmosphere and always have unique inhabitants. This story is very positive, calm, full of optimism and warmth—the perfect comfort drama. We find friends we can always count on, a family that always provides warmth, and a slowly blossoming feeling.
There are no negative characters (except for a brief moment), no tiring love triangles (and at times there was even the potential for three), and no traumatic experiences. There are difficult moments, but the main characters quickly get up, dust themselves off, and move forward with hope.
The main character’s mother is indestructible. She falls, gets up, falls, gets up, but along the way, she learns from her mistakes. She’s also very cheerful, although she too has moments of breakdown. I really liked her. It’s no wonder her son is such a good and resourceful boy.
The main couple had excellent chemistry, and sparks flew between them from the very beginning. The development of their relationship was very calm and natural. You could feel how close and important they were to each other, and how much this meeting changed them. She gained the warmth of family, and he regained hope and motivation.
The last episodes were a bit long, but it was worth watching their kissing moments, which we didn’t get to experience earlier in the story.
This is a truly enjoyable story for someone looking for something peaceful, charming, and longing for seaside vacation views.
