Kim Soo-Hyun is an ordinary vet by day, but that’s not his only job. When he doesn’t help sick animals, he works as an elite assassin. He traces the target, eliminates it and disappears. He is employed by the most powerful people and organizations in the world. Despite such great popularity, he is like a ghost. Nobody knows anything about him. One day he meets Do Hyun Jin – a young and brilliant detective from Seoul. At first glance, it seems cold and distant, but it is really a nice girl who is sensitive to human injustice. My opinion

Honestly, I had high expectations for this drama and it let me down a bit. There were quite interesting heroes, some cool action scenes and unexplained secrets from the past. With all these pieces of the puzzle, this drama could have been a lot better. I watched all episodes to the end and I had the impression that the plot was too flat. Seems like a lot is happening, but there was not enough tension and interesting, unexpected twists. I definitely blame writers for that.

I really liked the role of Chang Ki-Young. His character rarely speaks, but one his look is like a million words. He is very reserved and suspicious, but this is the nature of paid killers with traumatic childhood. Veterinary profession tells us a lot about him. Some people say that after a man treats animals, you can learn how he will treat other people. Maybe there is something in it. Kim Soo-Hyun repeatedly violated Pavel’s main rules, because he was too sensitive to harm an innocents. I think he had perfect conditions to be a mentally disturbed murderer, and yet he kept his humanity. He doesn’t like to kill. This is one of the few things that he knows so well. He has been trained in this profession since childhood, and now he can regain his lost memory and learn about his mysterious past.

As I saw the announcements of this drama, I had great hope for such a forbidden, unhappy romance between the killer and the policewoman. It is a sin to have such beautiful actors and not to use it for unfulfilled tragic love. But the screenwriters had other plans. They put on a good old childhood friendship. I am glad that the main characters quickly learn about their common past. Everything took place in a very natural way, without unnecessary dramas and surprises. I have the impression, that at the end of the series, drama tried to convince the viewers that the main couple feel more than friendship, but I haven’t totally bought it. In my opinion, it didn’t spark between them. I don’t know, if it’s the actors or scenario’s fault.

I definitely liked the relationship between the young owner of the building and the main character. You can see that they have a unique bond. The scene where the girl is waiting for him with a bowl of soup was the most touching for me.

Pictures and soundtrack are the strong point of this drama. I love all songs. They capture the climate of the show very much, which is a bit dark, a bit sad. I recommend this drama mainly to fans of Chang Ki-Young. I am his fan since the times of “Go Back Couple”, so it was natural for me to watch this series. Despite many reservations, I watched this drama until the end.
