This is the simplest shrimp recipe I know and I always succeed. Until recently, I did not use prawns at all for home cooking because I thought that I couldn’t make them well. Once, I ate very badly prepared prawns and since then I haven’t had the courage to do it. I checked this recipe many times and it comes out delicious every time. If someone does not have Korean gochujang paste, you can use a different hot paste. These prawns are perfect for plain rice or kimchi fried rice.
Ingredients:
-300 g raw prawns (can be defrosted beforehand)
-1/2 teaspoon of salt
-1/2 teaspoons of black pepper
-1/3 teaspoons of cayenne pepper
-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
-1 tablespoon of butter
Sauce:
-2 large spoons of honey
-2 tablespoons of soy sauce
-2 cloves of garlic
-1 large tablespoon of gochujang paste (can be sriracha paste or other hot paste)
-2 tablespoons of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
-1 teaspoon of grated ginger
1.Mix the prawns with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Set aside for 30 minutes.
2.Heat oil and butter in a frying pan. Fry the prawns for 2 minutes on each side (if they are fried too long, they will become hard).
3. In a frying pan, combine all the sauce ingredients, bring to a boil and wait until it thickens slightly.
4. When the sauce is thick, coat the prawns in it. Enjoy!
